Artist's Comments

This was one of the strangest car drawings I've done so far. I first liked it, then absolutely hated it, and in the last 10 minutes really liked it. My feelings for it may change again. Of course the contrast is MUCH better in real life than what you see here. I tried adjusting it, but was losing some detail in the process. Decided to leave it alone. Hope you guys like it. :) Full view is recommended.
P.S. This is a first generation Pontiac Firebird.

Anime = t3h devil!! :D Nahh... I'm not really into anime at the moment. I became a little fed up with it, when in art school half the class was turning in anime drawings as completed assignments. I'm more into the classical art stuff... :)

Another great drawing, GOOD JOB! :D Love the detail again... the firebirds are very cool ideas, I like em... even the Pontiac logo ablaze in the background. Good job. :D

I love you. :D Classical art owns over anime anyday. :)

Amazing piece...love the elemental look and I've just noticed the volcano's in the background...You dont see many Pontiac's over here...but a few years ago a girl I knew had just met this guy who owned a Pontiac....dont know what make though...I remember getting in it....It was like getting in some sort of vehicle from Bladerunner...
:icondyun:
Thank you so much. :aww: The volcanos were an afterthought. I was looking at the "finished" piece, and hated it. Although busy-looking, it was missing something important. That's when I went into Photoshop, looked at it, sketched in the two volcanos and some smoke clouds, and decided that's what it needed. I feared touching it up, but I'm glad I did.

 Bladerunner... :D When my uncle was visiting from Europe, he got into my Camaro and called it a death-trap. :XD: The cabin is very intimate, great for the driver... but not so comfortable for passengers. :) Camaros and Firebirds are virtually identical, except they have some differnt outer design cues.

See, I love stuff like this... great job. Of late, I feel that if I'm trying new things and actually have the balls to finish the project to completion, but I'm not sure if I like it at first, it must be good work; maybe not what was initially in my head, but a step closer to perfection and a work that stands on its own to those who don't know 'how much cooler' it was in my own mind... In any case, this jumped at me, and I dig it. Kudos.

Thank you so much. Really glad you like it! I was pretty worried about this one. Until I added the volcanos and smoke into the background, it was looking terrible. I was just worried that I wasted 6 hours on a piece of crap, when I could have been working on something better. I know what you mean about things looking cooler in your head. :D I always seem to have great ideas that I don't know how to translate properly to paper.
