Illustraton for RPG rulebook. Corel Painter X, Wacom Tablet.

I just finished this one. The description was that I draw the woman standing in a plain log cabin with a bed and a writing desk. On the desk rests a book with a dead flower on the cover and a plain ring on a necklace. There is also a display case with butterflies inside. She is looking out the window with an expression that is neither sad nor happy. A dead tree is visible in the background. The whole scene is supposed to be a little dream/vision-like, so I surrounded it with a bit of fog.

Stock photo used from :iconfaestock: [link] I used a combination of two images for the face and body to suit my needs.

Looking good. You're definately developing a real style of your own with these ink drawings now.
Maybe you should try doing a set of cards for yourself. A tarot deck or as you're lazy, maybe an astrology set. 12 doesn't sound quite as daunting as 72. ;p

Very nice work, Jana! Great amount of textures! Really nice setting and brilliant play with light and shadows. The only thing that could be improved on is the tree, which looks too heavy and could be a bit more fragile and elegant. But perhaps that is merely a matter of taste. All in all fantastic work!

Thanks! I'd hope I was developing a style.... I did over 50 drawings using this style for a different project. They were not quite as involved as this, but pretty close. :faint:
That Tarot deck sounds like an idea. Someone else mentioned it as well. I'm considering it if I ever start feeling less overwhelmed by the size of that project.

Thanks Martin! :) I'm glad you like it. The tree does look a bit bulky but you're right... it's a matter of taste or purpose. I didn't get a description on it's purpose but I decided on something more intimidating. :shrug: :)

Thank you! :aww: I think it's not for a console or computer. I think it's one of those like Dungeons and Dragons type with cards..... if I remember correctly. I think it explains it on the website.
