Artist's Comments

This is a pen and ink drawing I did today. It was nothing too consuming, but I liked the way it turned out. I tried to put more detail into the drawing than I usually do. I kind of like it. I do have a problem with one of the horse's legs though. If you didn't notice,...never mind...there's nothing wrong with it. :p
Check out the color version of this drawing in my gallery.

A sketch? :faint: Yeah, the only problem with the leg is that a horse cannot stand on only one leg.. but that's like nothing compare to your drawing's beauty!!!

Yeah.... the horse is kind of in a mid-jump sort of pose. It was supposed to be freaking out as it was getting attacked either by a big mastiff, or some kind of dragon. Unfortunately the paper ended right there. Not good thinking-ahead on my part. The whole standing-on-one-leg isn't really a problem, it is the position it is in. It should be leaning to the back, so it looks like the horse is momentarily pushing himself up with it. Thanks for the compliments. Glad you like it otherwise. ;) :)

Well, it's nice and detailed. The whole leg problem isn't really an issue with me. Also, the fact that it's done with pen is a plus. :)

Ooh, I love all the detail! Must've taken a long time, well worth the effort! I love it :)

Well done I like the fact that the horse is moving not just standing around. If you want to make these look more heraldic try reducing the pattern on the cloth to two or one. No knight can possibly ride for more than one master. Other than that. Cool!

Good point. Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking the same thing when I was painting him, yet I just couldn't resist making him look more colorful. :D Oh well....its fantasy....what can ya do? ;) Though I enjoy history a lot, I can't say I'm very knowledgeable about every aspect. I'm glad people are willing to point out mistakes, otherwise I may never learn the truth. :)

Thanks! I certainly will. :) If I draw more subjects from medieval times, feel free to comment on any inaccuracies. I know I make them up 98% of the time, so I'm sure they're filled with mistakes.

Gorgeous work. How come it got so little attention?
